JoraPh Becomes Preferred Support Supplier for UK Leading Distribution Company

JoraPh Managed Services Ltd has just become the preferred Oracle database monitoring and support company for one of the UK’s leading Food Distribution Organisations.

This Company has a worldwide presence and is responsible for over 60% of foodstuffs that are imported and distributed throughout the UK.

The remit for JoraPh is to provide a 24 x 7 x 365 proactive monitoring and support service on the Oracle Databases used by the Company, with a response time to Database problems of no more than 10 minutes.

With the importance of timed deliveries to major food retailers across the UK, it is imperative that all the Companies systems are tuned and performing to their full capabilities, especially within the database and the e-business environment.

The Company has increased the number of its database systems over the last 12 months, due to an increase in business and an acquisition of another organisation.

The Company felt that its previous support partner was not able to match the growth of itself, with the 24 x 7 support that it required. The Company is keen that if problems do occur outside of normal working hours they can speak to a DBA that understands their systems by phone so that problems can be resolved quickly and efficiently.

JoraPh's support infrastructure is built upon customer support and customer liaison, and all our customers are able to talk to our DBAs on a 24 x 7 basis, rather than just being able to communicate using e-mail, text, Skype etc.

At the start of this contract JoraPh checked all the Companies Oracle databases using our own award winning tool “JorasSope”. The findings from JoraScope allowed JoraPh to make a number of recommendations in terms of database structures and designs, areas in which we believe would add stability and resilience to the Company's Oracle systems.

Early indications show that the Company is already reaping the benefits provided by JoraPh Managed Services and is extremely happy with the monitoring and support services provided to them. The changes made to the Oracle databases have resulted in less downtime than had previously been encountered.

The proactive monitoring system JoraPh deploys, allows any database alerts to be addressed immediately and any remedial action required to be discussed personally between DBAs at JoraPh and the customer.
